With the tagline of “Till death do they part” you know there’s going to be some drama in this new Channel 5 series, The Wives! Beginning this evening at 9pm UK, the main characters are three sisters, played by Angela Griffin, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Jo Joyner.
Accompanying this drama is the fantastic music of Daisy Coole and Tom Nettleship of Two 22 Music.
Was a delight working with these two talented composers by mastering their title song for the series.

More From Daisy & Tom
The Wives have arrived! Written by Helen Black (Time) and produced by Gaumont, this six-part ādarkly comic dramaā began last night and is spread across two weeks on Channel 5 with music by us.
We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such a brilliant and lovely team. Particular shoutouts to lead director Claire TayHayes who really shaped the music for the series and was genuinely a dream to collaborate with, tireless producer Margot Gavan Duffy who kept us all sane this summer and exec producer Jess Connell who brought us on board The Wives after we had the privilege of working with her last year on For Her Sins.
And of course a HUGE thanks to those who contributed to our scoreā¦
Kezia Tomsett has this beautifully haunting vocal style, which worked so well texturally within the score, especially accompanying Bethās darker moments. She is also an exceptional human being – hire her!
We count ourselves very lucky to have friends like Ian Hultquist who spent an afternoon in his studio recording Tom on drums, grabbing grooves and fills. There is a decent amount of rhythm section in this score, most of it recorded at the Hultquistsā studio.
More on the Titles song later but for now a big shout out to the incredible Kianja who brought her inimitable style, sass and panache to āSecrets & Liesā on lead vocals and some BVs.
John Elleson-Hartley mastered the Titles track and weāve been looking forward to working with him for a long time. As well as his excellent ears, John is a champion of composers and to have him in your corner is a gift.
